24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”
Before God builds the church, he wants to build you. All of us are building are lives on something. The question is, "Are we building our lives on something that will last?"
God calls us to construct a solid faith on a firm foundation. We can do this by building beneath the surface to stay grounded. Before the storm even comes, practicing obedience will keep us protected when the winds blow and the rain pours. Stepping beyond what is comfortable to challenge our capacity will establish strength for what is possible. Overall, God is transforming our spirit to better prepare for what lies ahead.
