Ever Unto Jesus

14 For this reason I kneel before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name. 16 I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, 18 may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, 19 and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever! Amen.
Main Idea
All of us want to make progress in life and move forward. But it's not our passion, our effort, or our intentions that move us forward. Progress is determined by our direction in proximity to our destination.
I can't choose every situation I go into, but I can choose what I focus on.

- What does the phrase "Ever Unto Jesus" mean to you?
- How can you keep the "why" in mind regardless of "what" you're going through?
- Is there anything in your life that isn't moving you closer to Jesus?
- What are the ways you can be intentional in this SZN?
Summary
We can survive any "what" if we have a good enough "why." It’s not what we're going through that matters, it’s how we go through it. And it’s not what we're doing that determines significance, it’s how we do it. In this season, make up your mind that everything in front of you is an opportunity for you to move closer to Jesus, because that is how we need to understand progress.
